Eligibility Requirements:
Individuals: Only U.S. citizens, aliens living in the United States, and foreign exchange students are eligible to
compete in these Championships. See the 2008 USATF Rule Book for more information and exceptions. A competitor
must compete in his/her age division only. There will be no "moving up" in any events, including relays.
Competitors in the Sub-Bantam division may compete in a maximum of three events including the relay…
100m, 4X100m relay, 400m, 800m run, 800m Race-Walk, Long Jump and Turbo Javelin plus the Triathlon.
Sub-Bantam Competitors do NOT advance to the Regional meet. If a Sub-Bantam Athlete wishes to compete
in the Regional meet he/she MUST compete in the Association JO Championships as a Bantam and qualify per the
set rule procedures.
Competitors in the Bantam and Midget divisions may compete in a maximum of three events, including relays.
Competitors in the Youth, Intermediate and Young divisions may compete in a maximum of four events, including relays.
Combined Events are not included in the event count. See Rule # 301 in the USATF 2008 Rule Book for
eligible events for each age group division.
All athletes must be 2008 members of USATF in good standing.
Relay Teams: Only registered 2008 USATF Fully Accredited member clubs may enter a relay team(s).
All athletes representing the club must be affiliated with and members of that club as part of their USATF
membership (prior to the JO Association Championships).

Relay Entries: $24.00 per relay team

Go to the Oregon Website ‘Youth’ page..Click on the appropriate ‘On-Line Entry’ link.
On-Line Entries must be paid for by credit card (Visa only) or electronic funds transfer (“electronic check”).
Clubs need to call the association Office (541-504-1077) to obtain a ‘password’ for group entries.
Unattached Athletes need to know your individual ‘password’ prior to submitting your individual entry.
Your individual ‘password’ can be obtained from the USATF membership ‘Help Center’ at www.usatf.org/membership
If your membership profile includes a current e-mail address the password will be sent to you immediately via e-mail.
If your membership profile does not contain an e-mail then it may take 3-4 days to receive your password.
Please do not wait until the last minute to obtain your password.

Club Coaches please note….All Relay Team entries must be made via the following procedure.
Please enter your (4) Primary Relay members via the On-Line Entry process. Coaches MUST also
download the Relay Roster Entry Form from the USATF/Oregon Web Page…Please add your (4) Primary
team members PLUS all other Alternate members on this form ( there is ********NO fee for any members
on this form as the (4) Primary members will have already paid their fee during the On-Line Entry process).
For relay team entry, please follow the instructions on the official Relay Roster Form.

AWARDS: USATF Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to the top three individuals (top three teams in the relay events) in each event of each age division. Ribbons will be awarded to 4th, 5th and 6th places.
ADVANCEMENTS: The top five (5) individuals and relay teams in each event of each age division will
advance to the USATF Junior Olympic Region 13 Championships to be held on July 10-13 in Spokane, WA at
Spokane Falls Community College.
All advancement/entry forms for the USATF Region 13 Championships must be completed, paid for,
and submitted (cash preferred) prior to leaving Willamette University on June 22. Proof of age MUST
have been verified prior to the Oregon Association Championships. There will be a $20 late fee
accessed to each entrant NOT having the proper documentation.
The National Junior Olympic Championships will be held from Tuesday, July 22 to Sunday, July 27 at
Burke Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska. The top 3 athletes in each event at the Region 13 Championships will
qualify for the National Championships.

SCHEDULE: Please download the Meet Schedule document from the USATF/Oregon webpage.
IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN: Check at the Packet Pickup area for directions.
EVENT CHECK-IN: There will be separate check-in areas for Running and Field events.
Running Event Athletes must check in at the ‘Clerk of the Course’ designated area 45 minutes prior
to the event's scheduled starting time OR when the event is announced by the Meet Announcer.
Field Event Athletes must check into their event at the Event Venue when so directed by the Meet Announcer.
Athletes will be required to remain in the designated warm-up areas after checking in EXCEPT Athletes competing
in conflicting events must check in and out with the head official at their respective events.
COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS: All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition and on
the front (exception is the Pole Vault Event) on their jerseys only. If an athlete loses the bib number, a replacement
can be purchased for a fee of $5.00. Bib numbers will be distributed to athletes in the Packet Pickup Area.
EVENT RESULTS: During competition, event results will be posted under the Grandstand on the bulletin board.
In addition, event results will be posted at www.usatf-oregon.org on the ‘Youth’ page.
PROTESTS: There will be a $50 fee for all protests. Protests must be submitted to the Protest Referee not later
than 30 minutes after a result has been Posted. The fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld.
DIRECTIONS: From I-5, take exit #253 (N. Santiam, Hwy 22) Continue on this road (WEST) (which becomes
Mission St) until you pass 12th Street. McCulloch Stadium is located approximately ¼ mile past 12th St. on the left.
PARKING: Park only on Willamette University property…
DO NOT PARK ON THE HOSPITAL GROUNDS AS YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE TOWED.
